School Dinners

Parents can choose for their child to have a healthy school meal or provide a packed lunch from home.

 

SCHOOL MEALS:

  • All school meals must be ordered through the school reception.
  • Meal bookings are made on a termly basis, so it is important to book and pay for your child’s meals at the start of each term to secure their place.
  • Our caterers provide halal hot and cold meals that are healthy and nutritious.

 

PACKED LUNCHES:                                                                       

If you choose to provide a packed lunch, we encourage children to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. Packed lunches should include:

  • At least one portion of fruit
  • At least one portion of vegetables
  • A portion of protein (meat, fish, eggs, or plant-based alternatives such as beans or hummus)
  • A starchy food (bread, rolls, chapatti, pasta, rice, couscous, or noodles)
  • A dairy product (yogurt, cheese, or a dairy-free alternative)
  • A small treat, e.g. a packet of crisps or a couple of plain biscuits
  • A drink (water, semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, or a dairy-free alternative)

Please avoid: nuts, sweets, chocolate, chocolate-covered biscuits, processed fruit bars and sugary fizzy/energy drinks.
