School Dinners
Parents can choose for their child to have a healthy school meal or provide a packed lunch from home.
SCHOOL MEALS:
- All school meals must be ordered through the school reception.
- Meal bookings are made on a termly basis, so it is important to book and pay for your child’s meals at the start of each term to secure their place.
- Our caterers provide halal hot and cold meals that are healthy and nutritious.
PACKED LUNCHES:
If you choose to provide a packed lunch, we encourage children to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. Packed lunches should include:
- At least one portion of fruit
- At least one portion of vegetables
- A portion of protein (meat, fish, eggs, or plant-based alternatives such as beans or hummus)
- A starchy food (bread, rolls, chapatti, pasta, rice, couscous, or noodles)
- A dairy product (yogurt, cheese, or a dairy-free alternative)
- A small treat, e.g. a packet of crisps or a couple of plain biscuits
- A drink (water, semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, or a dairy-free alternative)
Please avoid: nuts, sweets, chocolate, chocolate-covered biscuits, processed fruit bars and sugary fizzy/energy drinks.
