LEA Alumni Reunion: 18th March 2023

On Saturday, March 18th 2023, the LEA Alumni Network held an exciting reunion event for our former students. The event was an excellent opportunity to reconnect with old friends, network with other alumni, and learn about the latest news from our alma mater.

The event kicked off with an introduction to the vision, aims, and plans of the LEA Alumni Network. Attendees learned about the network's mission to create a supportive community for alumni, provide career development opportunities, and support the school's ongoing initiatives.

The event featured several speeches from headteachers and teachers, including Ustadh Badr, the current headteacher, Ustadh Mubarak, Hussain Shefaar; chair of governors for Al-Mizan & LEA and Ustadh Faradhi, the founding headteacher. Attendees were inspired by their words, which highlighted the school's history, achievements as well as setting aspirations for all attendees.

After the speeches, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and had the chance to catch up with old friends and make new connections. The highlight of the event was an alumni panel discussion featuring Ikram Class of 2019, Jakariya Class of 2018, Umayr Class of 2017, and Muneeb Class of 2014.

The panelists shared their experiences since leaving LEA, including their current career paths and personal achievements. The former students were amazed to hear about the milestones and ambitions that the panelists had achieved since leaving the school, which ranged from starting their own organisations to pursuing further education.

The discussion also covered the topic of Ramadan, and the panelists shared their preparations for the upcoming month.

Overall, the LEA Alumni Reunion event was a resounding success. Attendees left feeling inspired, energised, and excited about the future of the alumni network. We look forward to seeing you at our next event and continuing to support the LEA community.
